Baby birds

One of the things I really look forward to this time of the year is checking our blue bird houses at our country place outside of Brenham.  Here is one of our new babies searching for some food!  It’s so fascinating to watch this cycle of life.  Within a month, the nest is built, eggs are laid, babies hatch, and then one day the babies fledge. All this time, the mother is never far away, always taking care of her brood, teaching them to fly and take care of themselves, and then turning them loose.  Sound familiar?

One of the lessons I’m learning on this journey of mine is to look for joy in all things, to give thanks in all things.  That’s one of the things I love about going to CHR — we can leave the busyness of life behind and find time to enjoy the Source of Life.  Isn’t it amazing how God gives us time, but we often don’t have time for Him?

“Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Aren’t you worth more than they?  – Matthew 6:26

About beegee10

I am a follower of Jesus on the journey of discovering His real, lasting joy through God's grace and thanksgiving. Several years ago, I married my best friend, whom I met in kindergarten many years ago. Life choices took each of us on separate paths, but Divine Appointment brought our paths back together. It's exciting to share this journey with my sweet man - a man who loves God more than he loves me! What a gift!! As a young woman I prayed for God to send a godly man like my daddy to pursue me. I just wasn't listening and abiding when I should have been. Good news in HIS time and in HIS grace, HE did! Not only does my sweet man love me, but he loves my three grown kids as if they were his own. He shares their joys and he hurts when they hurt. I love to hear him pray for each of them daily as we begin and end our days. View all posts by beegee10
