A quiet morning of fresh cranberry bread and hot coffee. Reading over some emails, actually re-reading one in particular. A sweet friend shared these words as we are each seeking how to pray for those close to our hearts. I think Paul’s words to the Philippians fits every situation we face.
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.” ~ Philippians 1:9-11
That is what I pray for my family – my Sweet Man, the Sons and the Daughter, and myself. Let us know the good from the bad, the good from the better, and the best from the better. Let us know God’s best. That is what I pray for and desire for each of the precious ones I mentioned, and I know that is what God desires for each of us. That is why He pursues us and calls each of us by name.
