But the fruit of the Spirit is . . . FAITHFULNESS . . . (Gal. 5: 22)
One of the sights I had on my list of “must see” as we traveled through Montana and Wyoming was Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. I had heard about this mighty geyser from the time I was a little girl. It’s very name comes from the fact that you can basically set your clock by the daily eruptions of Old Faithful. It is that reliable.
FAITHFULNESS ~ Greek pistos – meaning reliability and trustworthiness
Faithfulness is NOT – – – – – disloyalty, inconstant, unreliability, dishonesty, falseness
Faithfulness is not my faith based on what God can do for me. It’s not me believing when God heals me, when He restores a relationship, when He complies with my prayer request. My faithfulness comes from who God IS, not what He will do for me.
