rays of Peace

Last weekend was one full of wonder . . .  I am not the best “early morning” person, so at the urging of my sweet man, I rolled out of bed in the still darkness of Saturday morning.  I’m so thankful I did.  So thankful I even waited to have that first morning cup of coffee.  Otherwise, I would have missed this glorious sunrise.

The morning was so very quiet.  Walking across the field, even the crunching sound beneath of our boots sounded peaceful. The wind was whistling through the trees.  The sound of geese honking was somewhere in the distance.  The pallet of colors began to paint a warmth even though there was a chill in the Texas November air.

In the quiet of this early morning, I hear Him calling to me —– Come to Me and rest in My Peace

HE knows me well.  HE knows I fight trying to figure out things for myself.  HE knows the burdens, the concerns, the hurts I carry on my heart.  HE knows I need those daily reminders.  Yes, HE knows me well.

His Face is shining down on me, in rays of Peace that transcend all understanding.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

About beegee10

I am a follower of Jesus on the journey of discovering His real, lasting joy through God's grace and thanksgiving. Several years ago, I married my best friend, whom I met in kindergarten many years ago. Life choices took each of us on separate paths, but Divine Appointment brought our paths back together. It's exciting to share this journey with my sweet man - a man who loves God more than he loves me! What a gift!! As a young woman I prayed for God to send a godly man like my daddy to pursue me. I just wasn't listening and abiding when I should have been. Good news in HIS time and in HIS grace, HE did! Not only does my sweet man love me, but he loves my three grown kids as if they were his own. He shares their joys and he hurts when they hurt. I love to hear him pray for each of them daily as we begin and end our days. View all posts by beegee10
