always

I lift my eyes toward the mountains.
Where will my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2

A sweet friend shared this on Twitter today: Screen Shot 2013-07-29 at 4.40.16 PM

and it turned my thoughts to – family, friends, and others – those struggling with a variety of different circumstances in their lives.

  • finding contentment with where God has one in life at this season ~ be it where to live, a job, in the waiting
  • the sweet young mother of 3, facing months and months of weekly trips for treatments for a potentially dangerous blood disease
  • broken relationships . . . some running, some hiding, some indifferent
  • a couple’s continued disappointments of infertility
  • uncertainty of jobs – a number are either out of work, or facing certain cutbacks, even the loss of a house
  • a young wife dealing with her husband’s infidelity through pornography
  • young dads, young moms facing single parenthood and being a godly parent, even if it’s seemingly not 24/7 [but their influence can be!]
  • a friend struggling in his walk, not confident of his identity in his Creator

and our list goes on and on and on . . .

and our hearts turn to prayer and the Word for encouragement in Truth.

Psalm 121 gives us the Promise that no matter the circumstances, no matter the enemy – our help always comes from the One who made us.  He does not sleep – not even a little cat-nap!  And He does not ever break His Promises!

Click to listen – “Always”~ Kristian Stanfill

My foes are many, they rise against me
But I will hold my ground
I will not fear the war,
I will not fear the storm
My help is on the way, my help is on the way.

Oh, my God, He will not delay
My refuge and strength always
I will not fear, His promise is true
My God will come through always, always

Troubles surround me, chaos abounding
My soul will rest in You
I will not fear the war, I will not fear the storm
My help is on the way, my help is on the way

Oh, my God, He will not delay
My refuge and strength always
I will not fear, His promise is true
My God will come through always, always

I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord
I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord
From You Lord, from You Lord

Oh, my God, He will not delay
My refuge and strength always, always

About beegee10

I am a follower of Jesus on the journey of discovering His real, lasting joy through God's grace and thanksgiving. Several years ago, I married my best friend, whom I met in kindergarten many years ago. Life choices took each of us on separate paths, but Divine Appointment brought our paths back together. It's exciting to share this journey with my sweet man - a man who loves God more than he loves me! What a gift!! As a young woman I prayed for God to send a godly man like my daddy to pursue me. I just wasn't listening and abiding when I should have been. Good news in HIS time and in HIS grace, HE did! Not only does my sweet man love me, but he loves my three grown kids as if they were his own. He shares their joys and he hurts when they hurt. I love to hear him pray for each of them daily as we begin and end our days. View all posts by beegee10
